The KOOS Club
Our
programmes will be held in the Maraekakaho Hall. There will be two
Supervisors who will care for the children. The programmes are set
to cater for the age range of the children.
Before
school
The morning
programme will run from 7.30am and the children will be taken over to
school by 8.45am. Breakfast will be provided, which will include
cereal, fruit, toast and spreads.
The
session will be relaxed to allow for children to eat their breakfast,
complete home learning if required and do quiet activities as they
wish eg jigsaws, blocks and drawing. If there is time a group
activity may occur, eg a game in the hall, baking for afternoon tea.
After
school
The
children will be met at school at 3pm and taken over to the hall by
the supervisors until they are collected by parents/guardians.
Afternoon tea will be provided and will be such things as biscuits,
crackers with toppings, muffins, scones, pikelets and fruit. The
session will end at 5.30pm.
The
session will include opportunities for both group and individual
time. Afternoon tea will be first and will include clearing. This
will be followed by a group activity eg games or physical activity
then home learning time and/or individual time eg jigsaws, art,
creative play. Some days children may assist with baking.
Enrolments
ll
children who use the service will need to be enrolled by their
parents/guardians. This requires completing and signing an enrolment
form. This information is vital to the service. There are 3
methods of booking
- Permanent: Days and times will roll over from week to week. Bookings are made at time of enrolment.
- Weekly: Days and times will vary each week but a booking will be made each week.
- Casual: This is for occasional bookings.
